The Little Bike Project

In the UK, 1 in 5 children can’t ride a bike[1] and only 2% of children cycle to school[2].

One of Bikeability’s key findings is that providing cycles makes it easier for children from underrepresented groups, particularly those living in low-income households, to access Bikeability[3].

We are raising money to buy children’s cycling equipment & donate it to a school in our community that will really benefit more children by helping them learn to cycle. However..

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We have a crowdfunding page, which you can donate to here:

Each £5 ticket goes directly toward purchasing cycles and gives you one entry into the prize draw to win an electric bike worth £1,500! This bike has been kindly donated by Williams Cycles, Cheltenham.

The facts around the need:

There is strong evidence that cycling to school age 10, tracks to cycling at 16 and beyond. People who take up cycling through Bikeability continue to cycle because of the confidence it instils and because cycling becomes normal and habitual. Help us make this accessible to more children in our community.

Bike Bros In Bilbao

To promote this project brothers Rory, Dom and Sunny cycled 750 miles from Bilbao back to the UK. Climbing 24,000 feet and covering up to 80 miles a day, this was a grueling test of their passion for bikes but they completed it in style - wheel good vibes in action! The guys raised over £500! Enough money to get our first few bikes for the little bike project! This was where the project began…
